A Brief Introduction to Neihu High School

Neihu High School holds the distinction of being the first high school established in Taipei after its restructuring into a special municipality. Planning and construction for the school began in July 1986, and its first class of students was admitted on August 1, 1988. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of a succession of principals and faculty, the school has cultivated a culture of democratic openness and lively freedom, earning a cherished reputation among students in the greater Taipei area. Due to its architectural design and geographic location, which make it susceptible to strong winds, the campus has been affectionately known as the "City of Winds" since its founding.

A Scenic and Well-Connected Campus
Nestled among green hills and picturesque valleys, our campus is a sight to behold, with elegant buildings in a harmonious blend of green and white. In terms of external advantages, the operation of the Wenhu Line MRT has significantly enhanced transportation convenience to our school. Internally, our highly qualified faculty, who are full of love, enthusiasm, and patience, foster an atmosphere of respect and professionalism. The harmonious relationship between teachers and students is one of our school's most celebrated cultures, and the resulting academic performance of our students is particularly gratifying.

Commitment to Excellence and Innovation
Under the collaborative leadership of successive principals, we have been consistently recognized for our excellence. We were honored with the Taipei City Excellent School Awards for "Student Learning" and "Teacher Teaching" in the 2009 and 2011 academic years, respectively. In 2010, we were certified as a "111 Benchmark School" by Taipei City, and in 2012, we received recognition as a "Quality High School" from the Ministry of Education. Our commitment to administrative and leadership excellence was further acknowledged with the Taipei City Excellent School Award for "Administrative Management" in 2019 and "School Leadership" in 2020. This consistent recognition reflects our progressive development and solidifies Neihu High School's foundation as a high-quality learning environment.

Diverse Curricula and Global Perspectives
To meet students' diverse learning needs, we have established three unique curriculum programs: the " Science Inquiry Experiment Class," the " AI Information and Technology Class," and the " Bilingual Experimental Class." These programs allow us to nurture the specific talents of our students.

Our school's other two defining features are international education and experiential learning. We host annual international educational exchanges and volunteer services, with students traveling to countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United States, Finland, Thailand, and nations in Africa. We also integrate sister-school visits and international education curricula into our daily programs to broaden students' global perspectives and humanistic awareness. Our efforts were recognized with the Taipei City International School Award in 2018.

In recent years, to adapt to the rapid changes of the information age and boost learning efficiency, our teachers have actively developed courses through experiential learning. Since the 2016 academic year, this initiative has earned our faculty continuous accolades, including the Special Award, Excellence Award, and Outstanding Teacher Award.

To realize our school's vision, we have actively sought funding to build high-quality campus facilities, providing a variety of resources to help teachers innovate their teaching methods. With the implementation of the new 108 Curriculum, our school has seen impressive professional development among teachers and more diverse performances from students, truly embodying the spirit of mutual benefit between teachers and students.
