Since Taipei was upgraded to a direct-administered municipality in July of the 56th year of the Republic of China, only eight public high schools, including Taipei First Girls' High School, Zhongshan, Jingmei, Jianguo, Chenggong, Zhongzheng, Fuxing, and National Taipei University of Education Affiliated High School, have provided limited opportunities for further education. In response to the educational needs of students in the Greater Taipei metropolitan area, the Taipei City Government designated a piece of land at No. 218 Wende Road in Neihu District in July of the 75th year of the Republic of China to prepare for the establishment of the first senior high school after the restructuring. Mr. Lin Hui, the then principal of Jieshou Junior High School, served as the chief organizer, responsible for land acquisition, planning, and construction of the school.
The construction project was commissioned by the Taipei City Government to the National Housing Administration. During the period, land prices and real estate soared, and the budget was inadequate. After several rounds of bidding, the first phase of the project (administrative building and the third and fourth teaching buildings) was contracted out in September of the 76th year of the Republic of China, completing the bidding process.
On August 1st of the 77th year of the Republic of China, the school was officially established, with Mr. Lin Hui serving as the first principal. In September of the same year, the first batch of 18 classes of new students was enrolled. Since the school building project was not yet completed, the first batch of students borrowed some teaching venues from nearby Sanmin Junior High School and Xihu Junior High School for male and female students to attend classes and study. After a year (in September of the 78th year of the Republic of China), they returned to the newly completed school buildings. For the first three years, there were nine classes each for male and female students, with an average of over 56 students per class. Starting from the fourth year, the number increased to 20 classes, with ten classes each for male and female students.
The second phase of the construction project (the second teaching building) and the fourth phase (specialized classrooms such as audiovisual and experimental rooms) were successively contracted out for construction in December of the 78th year and April of the 79th year of the Republic of China. In July of the 80th year of the Republic of China, all regular classrooms, sports fields, and playgrounds were completed, and the campus beautification project was also completed. In February of the 82nd year of the Republic of China, 22 special classrooms, including walls and retaining walls, were completed. The third phase of the swimming pool and activity center project encountered numerous setbacks. The outdoor swimming pool was completed and put into use in May of the 83rd year of the Republic of China; the activity center and library were commissioned by the city government's New Construction Office for construction, with the contract awarded in September of the 82nd year of the Republic of China. However, due to delays by the contractor, the main project was delayed for a long time and could not be completed as scheduled.
Principal Lin Hui, from the perspective of students, trusted and respected teachers. He adopted democracy and freedom as the direction of the school's development. Students did not wear uniforms with their student numbers embroidered, and they wore casual clothes to class on Saturdays. He organized graduation students' water polo initiation activities and believed in teachers' teaching without supervision, providing opportunities for teachers and students to learn and manage autonomously. Principal Lin often said, "You are outstanding students," "I love you all," fostering students' confidence and giving teachers a sense of achievement and glory. In August of the 85th year of the Republic of China, Principal Lin's outstanding performance led to his appointment as the principal of Zhongshan Girls' High School.
In August of the 85th year of the Republic of China, the second principal, Mr. Ye Wentai, was transferred from Songshan High School to our school. After taking office, Principal Ye continued the construction of the unfinished activity center, which was finally completed and put into use in September of the 86th year of the Republic of China. Regarding the structural ratio of male and female classes, starting from the 86th year of the Republic of China, it was adjusted to eight classes for boys and twelve classes for gi五rls, until the academic year of 94. Principal Ye adhered to the four major school management principles of "excellent faculty, beautiful environment, perfect facilities, and enthusiastic service," actively advocating a balanced emphasis on the five educations, implementing life education, improving teaching effectiveness, and especially teaching students to be courteous, studious, and disciplined, hoping to enter ideal universities. Principal Ye retired with meritorious service in July of the 90th year of the Republic of China.
In August of the 90th year of the Republic of China, the third principal, Mr. Lin Xinyao, took office as the first principal of our school to be selected through selection. After taking office, Principal Lin advocated creating a first-class "model high school" as the educational vision for all teachers and students in the school. In this regard, Principal Lin adhered to the main principle of "appreciating every student and allowing students to experience a sense of achievement." To concretely implement this educational philosophy, Principal Lin believed that there should be a perfect combination of hardware and software facilities to achieve this.
Since the academic year of 94, our school has established "Mathematics Gifted Class" and "Physical Education Class" to provide diverse learning opportunities and completely update students' desks and chairs to improve the classroom learning environment, aiming to enhance learning efficiency. In order to establish special classes, a new mathematics subject classroom was opened, mathematics teaching software was purchased, and special physical education teachers with special expertise were hired, in response to the need for specialized talents. To develop the school's characteristics, actively promote the "Karate Metropolitan" project for students, shaping a high-quality school atmosphere integrating culture and martial arts.
As the concept of gender equality in education policies deepens, the school's decision-making has also kept pace with the times. Since the 95th academic year, starting from the 19th class, mixed-gender classes have been adopted, and separate classes for boys and girls have become history, with the hope that this change will bring progress to the school.
Mayor Hao took office in the 95th year of the Republic of China and, in order to reuse educational talents, assigned Principal Lin to be the director of the Yangmingshan Teacher Training Center on February 12th of the 96th year of the Republic of China. The position of principal of our school was temporarily filled by Teacher Wu Zhengdong, director of academic affairs, until the end of the second semester of the 95th academic year.
On August 1st of the 96th year of the Republic of China, Acting Principal Wu Zhengdong successfully passed the selection process and became the fourth principal of our school, representing 72 new principals in the city in the 96th academic year in a handover ceremony, encouraging all new principals to courageously shoulder the responsibility and strive for educational ideals together. Principal Wu is the first person from the grassroots teachers of the school to accumulate rich experience and connections over the years to be appointed as principal. The students
, teachers, and parents all feel honored. Under Principal Wu's leadership, with his rich teaching and administrative experience, combined with clear educational philosophy and a harmonious style of dealing with affairs, the school is expected to move towards a better learning environment.
Principal Wu believes that student learning and teacher teaching are the most important core values of the school, emphasizing that the school team must work together to shape a safe, elegant, efficient, and energy-saving campus atmosphere. Principal Wu adheres to the school vision of "democracy, self-discipline, professionalism, quality, and model," promotes "politeness, cleanliness, and diligence in reading" as part of life education, leads students' learning through life education, and develops holistic education. Under Principal Wu and the efforts of all teachers and students, remarkable achievements have been made: in the 97th academic year, our school was awarded the "Excellent Award" in the "Student Learning" dimension of Taipei City's Quality School Awards, and in the 99th academic year, it was awarded the Taipei City 2010 Education 111 Benchmark School certification. Principal Wu, beloved by students, teachers, and parents, was re-elected on August 1st of the 100th year of the Republic of China. He has been working tirelessly. In addition to leading the school through Taipei City's "Quality High School and Vocational School" certification in the 101st academic year, in response to students' learning needs, he has established school specialty course classes starting from the 100th academic year: first, he obtained the High Outlook Project from the Executive Yuan's Ministry of Science and Technology, establishing the High Outlook Information Development Course class; in the 102nd academic year, he established the "International Talent Cultivation Course" and the "Science and Technology Development Course"; starting from the 103rd academic year, the junior high school basic assessment was suspended, and there was no basis for identifying gifted students within the school, so the "Mathematics Gifted Class" was stopped.
Principal Zhou Wuzhu, through the principal selection process, became the fifth principal of our school in the 104th academic year. Principal Zhou made great efforts in leading the school to develop curriculum and promoting teacher professional development. He not only led all administrative colleagues to implement the relevant projects of the first phase of the Ministry of Education's 104 academic year high school quality assistance plan, but also led administrative colleagues to write Taipei City's public and private high school curriculum and teaching forward-looking plan (first phase), actively establishing an image of knowledgeable, lively, and diverse students and teachers, and successfully obtaining project funding. In the 105th academic year, in order to cooperate with the promotion of the new high school curriculum, in addition to redesigning the overall school curriculum, funding was also obtained for the 106th academic year from the Ministry of Education's high school quality assistance plan to comprehensively improve teaching environment facilities, enhance teacher professional development capabilities, and promote teacher professional communities, so that teachers' teaching and students' learning all achieved good results.

In the 111th academic year, Principal Dong Jiaju, from Nanhu High School, passed the principal selection process and became the sixth principal of Inner Junior. It is hoped that under Principal Dong's leadership, Inner Junior will continue to thrive and reach new heights!
Under the outstanding leadership of successive principals and the efforts of all teachers and students, the high quality of Inner Junior has been widely recognized. In addition to the increase in knowledge, students have also learned and grown in skills, values, attitudes, and ethical norms.
